We invited 3 other couples to Lake Lodge for a weekend to celebrate a big birthday.  We were immediately struck by how clean and tidy it is kept – it is absolutely immaculate – and we liked the layout which works very well for a group with a large through area downstairs.  The kitchen is superbly appointed with all you need; big cooker, microwave, food fridge, drinks fridge, coffer maker etc, etc plenty of pots & pans, lots of crockery and dozens of glasses.  Bedrooms were all very comfortable. Bathrooms spotless. The view over the lake is beautiful and the large patio would be great for summer BBQs or drinks.  There are several kayaks and row-boats to splash about in and plenty of life jackets supplied.  The tennis court is in pretty good condition and had been freshly swept for our arrival. All the lawns had been cut.  Beyond these there are acres of grounds to wander about in and footpaths leading out if you want to go further afield. Maggie is very welcoming.  Her communication is excellent and her written directions spot on.  Frankly, Lake Lodge is difficult to fault.  We all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and may well return in summertime for a longer stay.

The surroundings at Lake Lodge are beautiful and so quiet, perfect for our relaxing weekend with friends. We found it to be superbly appointed and it was obvious that a great amount of effort has been taken to think of everything you may need during your stay. It is this attention to detail that has persuaded us to arrange a visit later on in the year. If you are planning a retreat with friends or family, we can highly recommend Lake Lodge.

We had a most perfect, beautiful stay in Lake Lodge and it's wonderful setting. Can I send especial thanks for the warmth of welcome that we experienced, even though we have not met you directly. We were 7 months to seventy years and I don't think one could say who enjoyed and appreciated it more.

What an absolutely amazing venue for Kiwis to experience a very private and spacious venue in a quiet and natural environment. The facilities have been first class right from being able to boat on the lake to being able to wash and dry clothes to be able to grab a pair of binoculars to assist in the identification of a duck on the lake - our every need has been met. Lake Lodge is a lovely house - a very homely place that has enabled us to rest and relax, socialise and enjoy each other's company.

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Lodge, we have been going away for a week in June for about 14 years and Lake Lodge has been the best accommodation we have stayed in to date.
