ABOUT US

Lake Lodge is owned by Dan and Maggie Tebbit. They live 30 miles away where, together with their daughter and son-in-law, they run an arable farm together with an indoor cricket centre.

When not busy on the farm they stay at their lakeside cabin in the grounds of Lake Lodge, so are sometimes on hand to give a personal welcome to guests.

The house was built by Maggie’s parents on the site of the gravel extraction business run by the family.

Maggie’s father planted all the trees on the property, mostly walnuts, and firs but also many specimen trees including a tulip tree, medlar and mulberry. It has been furnished and equipped as a family home and includes many family mementos.

Maggie was born in Maxey, lived there until her marriage and has been a regular visitor ever since with family still living in the village, so she is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and is happy to provide any information people may require.

As a family they regularly use local amenities such as tourism venues and eating establishments so are able to give up-to-date information on them.
