House Rules
Welcome to Lake Lodge Maxey, a serene retreat nestled by the lake. Before you book, we want to share some important house rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all our guests. These guidelines help maintain the tranquillity of the surroundings, protect the property, and ensure that everyone has a pleasant experience. Please take a moment to review these rules, as they are essential to preserving the unique atmosphere of our lodge. We look forward to welcoming you to Lake Lodge Maxey for a memorable stay.
- When using boats, kayaks or canoes, the buoyancy aids provided must be worn.
- No music to be played outside the house after 11.30 pm as the lake amplifies noise and it can be disruptive to neighbours.
- Permission must be obtained before erecting marquees or other structures in the grounds.
- On your departure day please leave the house in a tidy manner and place rubbish in the appropriate outside bins. Ensure that the house is secure, ie all doors locked and windows closed. Please clean the outside barbecue and deposit ashes in the metal dustbin provided.
- Please return any outside and inside furniture to the positions you found them in and make sure the boats are secure.
- Fire Safety: See our Fire Safety Risk Assessment. Smoking is not permitted inside the house and candles and tea lights are prohibited. No fires, apart from the built-in barbecue, are to be lit on the premises.
- Please be aware that the lake is unfenced and responsibility cannot be taken by the owners for any accidents involving it.
- The house is exceptionally well equipped but please check with us before arrival regarding any particular item you may need.
- Linen and towels are provided. Two travel cots, two high chairs and two stair gates are available but must be booked in advance.
- Cleaning during the week is not provided.
- Emergency numbers are listed in the information pack in the house.
- Please note that we have CCTV around the grounds for both your protection and that of the property.
